Fate's newer subdivisions sit on graded lots, and that fill dirt keeps settling into the native clay underneath for years after the builder leaves. Mudjacking is the traditional fix: pump a soil-cement slurry under the slab, fill the void, and lift it back to grade.
Fate Concrete Lifting uses mudjacking on heavier slabs and larger void areas where a slurry mix makes more sense than foam, both in cost and in how much material a void needs. It's the same method that's been raising concrete for decades, just applied to Rockwall County's clay-heavy ground.

How Our Mudjacking Process Works
Step 1Assessment
Walk the slab, find the low points, mark drill spots.
Step 2Drilling pattern
Small holes drilled in a grid over the void.
Step 3Slurry pumping
Mix pumped under the slab in controlled stages.
Step 4Elevation check
Slab monitored with a level as it lifts.
Step 5Hole patching
Injection points sealed with hydraulic cement.

Can I Do Mudjacking Myself?
Slurry pumping needs actual equipment, a pump, hose lines, and pressure control, not a rental kit from the hardware store. Getting the pressure wrong either doesn't lift the slab or cracks it. That's why this one stays a crew job even for handy homeowners.

FAQs
Mudjacking FAQs
Is mudjacking or polyurethane foam better for a new build home?
Mudjacking works well on larger, heavier slabs like driveways where the void is sizable. Foam is lighter and more precise, better suited for smaller areas or spots near a foundation. We'll tell you which one fits your slab during the estimate.
Can I do mudjacking myself?
Not really. The pumping equipment and pressure control that make mudjacking work correctly aren't available as a rental kit, and getting it wrong risks the slab.
How much does mudjacking cost?
It depends on slab size and how much slurry the void needs, but most single-slab jobs land in the low thousands. We'll give you a real number after seeing the slab.
Does insurance cover mudjacking?
Usually not. Gradual soil settlement is typically excluded from homeowner's policies as normal ground movement rather than sudden damage.
How long does slab jacking last?
A properly filled void doesn't re-settle from that spot again. New settlement somewhere else on the property is a separate soil issue, not a failure of the original lift.
